How we use AI on this site

An AI assistant answers first

The chat on this site, our phone line, and replies to text messages and to our projects email address are handled first by an AI assistant. It introduces itself as an AI, by name, every time. It is not a person and never says it is.

Its job is the first conversation: to understand what you need well enough that our team can prepare, and to get a call on the calendar. On the phone it speaks with a synthetic voice.

• It does not quote prices. Pricing depends on scope and comes from our team, with a tailored plan.
• It does not give advice. It can tell you how we work. Technical, security, legal and business advice comes from people.
• It only talks about working with PCS. It is not a general assistant, and it will close a conversation that is being misused.
• It can be wrong. It may mishear on a call or misunderstand. Details such as your email address are read back to you for that reason, and a person reads every conversation that leads anywhere.

What happens to what you tell it

Conversations are recorded as text so our team can follow up: chats, texts, emails, and a transcript of calls. Calls are transcribed while they happen; no audio recording is kept. The assistant tells you this at the start of a call, and the chat asks you to agree before you can send anything.

You can ask it to delete everything it holds about you, at any time, and it will. Our privacy policy has the detail.

Articles and films

Articles on Insights are researched and drafted with AI assistance, checked by automated and editorial review, and published only after one of our partners has read and approved them. Their diagrams and covers are drawn the same way.

The short films with our articles are generated from a script, and their narration is a synthetic voice, not a recording of a person. Each film's transcript is printed under it.

Where people decide

Everything that matters is decided by people at PCS: whether we are the right fit for your project, what we propose, what it costs, and who works on it. The AI gathers information and saves you a wait. If you would rather deal with a person from the start, say so on any channel, or use the inquiry form, and one of us will reply.
